Brajbhoomi is the birthplace of Shree Krishna, where he is present in every atom. Braj 84 Kos Yatra which covers all places related to Shri Krishna from his birth, childhood to young age is an important yatra for devotees of Shri Krishna. It is said that, when Yashoda Maa and Nand Baba wished to do the Teerth yatra, then Shri Krishna called all teerths on Braj Bhoomi to make them accessible in their old age.

Mostly, the yatra begins from Chaitra Purnima to Baishakh Purnima normally in March and April. But some people also start this parikrama after Vijaya Dashmi in October month. Doing this parikrama in Chaturmaas multiplies its importance.
