Coffee-Fact
Usually immersive and drip coffee is cooked in two different worlds, less intersecting. Siphon - the unique-looking coffee apparatus can create a thick but clear taste of coffee.
Siphon: apparatus cooked using scientific principles
How does the siphon work? When the water is seated in a siphon jug and heated, the gas begins to spring out, and the vacuum of the seat moves the water toward the seat. When the seating fire goes off, the air at the bottom starts to cool, allowing the coffee to return to the seating seat, although it sounds complicated, but the complete operation is not so difficult at once (of course to siphon coffee well cooked and stable but very difficult).
History of Siphon
The story of the siphon pot originated from a group of people who drank hard coffee. In the 1830s, Loeff in Berlin, Germany, invented the siphon, After that, the siphoning pot was a device that swept across Europe, and everyone saw its merits.
Caffeine dependence syndrome does exist. In a psychiatric survey, the degree of caffeine dependence of the respondents was evaluated according to the diagnostic criteria provided by the DSM-IV (American Psychiatric Association, ed.: Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 4th ed.). Four criteria were used to determine the degree of dependence - tolerance; withdrawal; persistent craving; and psychological or physiological consequences. A quick and easy caffeine calculator can help you better control your caffeine intake to avoid these problems.
The original design gave away numerous patents to improve the performance of the apparatus, but most notably Mrs. Vassieux's 1841 design of the French Balloon was very similar in appearance to the one we use today.
The equilibrium siphon (Belgian pot) is another important invention in the history of the siphon, although its origin was in the mid-19th century, but it works similar to the French siphon, the only thing it can do is to extinguish the heat source itself. The two seats of the equilibrium siphon jug are placed side by side, and when the water is transferred to another container, the balancing system designed for counterweights or springs is activated due to weight changes, which in turn triggers the heat source to go off.
By the end of the 19th century, siphonophores had spread to the United States, where they were not produced until the 20th century. In 1915, Ann Bridges and Sutton of Massachusetts marketed siphon pots under the name Silex. They also used the new heat-resistant Pyrex glass, which means that unlike other siphonophores of the previous style, Silex is not easily cracked.

What kind of coffee can a siphon jug make?
This method combines immersion (e.g. French presses) and drip-filtration (e.g. V60) to make a strong and clear-tasting coffee. The siphon jug is ideal for the quality of coffee, and the balance of flavor and taste makes siphon coffee so unique.
This article uses a siphon jug with coffee of the Kadura variety of Columbia Manor, with bright fruit acid, mild hazelnut and toffee aromas.
How do I make coffee using a siphon pot?
First, boil in the water and clean the filter. Place it at the bottom of the seat and hook the filter to the bottom of the glass tube. Add 510ml boiling water to the seat and turn on the heat source. Place the seat above the seat.
When the water rises from the bottom to the seat, grind 34 grams of coffee beans and use a slightly finer medium grind than the hand to cook.

As soon as all the water rises to the seat, the heat source is as low as possible and the water does not drop. Stir a few times to cool the seated water (ideal temperature is between 90 ~ 96 degrees).
Pour the coffee into the water and start the timeout. Use a mixing stick or spoon to stir in the coffee powder. Try to moisturize all the powders with minimal spoilage.
Keep your coffee flushing program undisturbed until about 90 seconds (time varies by recipe, perhaps shorter), then turn off and remove the heat and stir the coffee down.
When the seated coffee starts to cool down, it will begin to flow to the seating seat, which may take a few dozen more seconds, when the drop procedure is complete, the seated coffee will bubble due to the remaining coffee inhaled air.

After removing the glass from the seat, let the coffee cool (the siphon pot is usually warmer), and some people use Chemex to assist. Finally, do not forget to clean the seat and maintain the filter, if using the filter cloth, need to use hot water cooked, to cool in the refrigerator, so that there is no residual odor and to prevent the filter cloth from drying off brittle.
Then you can enjoy a strong but clear taste of siphon coffee!
