16. External Configuration

When node-oracledb is linked with Oracle Database 12c client libraries, the Oracle
client-side configuration file
oraaccess.xml
can be used to configure some behaviors of node-oracledb.

For example, oraaccess.xml can be used to:

• turn on Fast Application Notification (FAN) events to enable FAN notifications and Runtime Load Balancing (RLB)
• configure Client Result Caching parameters
• turn on Client Statement Cache Auto-tuning

Other features can also be enabled. Refer to the
