Where you can find the new Monster Dinosaurs on the Season 1 Map, what use they bring you and what you can do with them.
Already at the start of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1, Epic Games teased a new creature in the trailer, which the players called "monster" or "dinosaur" for lack of a name. Now we know that the six-legged lizard species is called "Klombos" and has finally been found in several places on the map since Fortnite Update 17.10. On this page we show you where you can find the cute dinosaurs on the map.

According to Epic Games, there are always several Klombos on the island. As usual with other animals, there seem to be more spawn points for the cute dinosaurs than actually spawn. On top of that, the gentle giants are quite fond of traveling and wander around in large circles. On the map below we have marked all the places where we have encountered a Klombo so far.
But keep in mind that a monster doesn't have to spawn there in every match and if it does, it can also stomp around nearby. But since the dinosaurs are quite large, you can easily see them when landing with the parachute and adjust the course if necessary.
As you can see for yourself, there seem to be a few fixed routes that the Klombos travel. One specimen probably circles in a large orbit around The Daily Bugle, one at The Joneses, another at Haven's Oasis and so on. The hill west of Tilted Towers is also relatively safe.
As usual, when there is something new in Fortnite, the question arises as to what can be done with it. We've tried a few things and here are the results:
Basically you can use the purple, green, blue-grey giants as a means of transport. If you climb onto the back of a Klombo via the tip of its tail, you can either "ride along" (albeit quite slowly) or run up to the head, where the dinosaur's breathing hole is. If you stand on it, you will be catapulted high into the air, like a jumping platform, and you can use your parachute again to land somewhere else.
Basically, Klombos are peaceful creatures that simply scuttle across the island like cows that have grown too big, grazing everything that comes in front of their feed hatch (including items and buildings). They don't even step on you if you try to get under the wheels. Instead, in the worst case, you will be pushed back a bit.
Even a few shots usually don't upset Klombos. But if you fire several volleys at the dinosaurs, they will become aggressive for up to 30 seconds and attack you (they will turn red-orange and boss music will be played). They will chase you, charge at you, rear up on their hind legs and try to crush you (20 damage) and shoot poisonous balls of slime out of their breathing hole at you (15 damage).
In theory, you can do tasks like "deal x damage to opponents" with Klombos, since they count as opponents, but because the cute monsters only suffer 1 point of damage due to their thick skin - no matter what weapon you use - and they are not killed either (have no health bar), it's not advisable to attack Klombos unless you want them to attack other nearby players.
No and no. You can't kill Klombos as they only take 1 point of damage whether you hit them with a grenade, pistol, or pickaxe. In addition, they have 2,000 life points and an extremely high HP pool, which also regenerates by 1,000 per second. Even taming, as is possible with wolves, for example (so that they can help you in a fight), is not possible with the Klombos. You can feed them, but that doesn't make them your compan ions.

Should you happen to step on the toes of a dino monster or encounter an angry Klombo, you can use the Klombo, which are also new, to calm the dinosaur down again. Throw some berries at an angry dino's feet and he'll suck them up and calm down (return to his original color). Alternatively, you just have to move far enough away from an angry dino and wait a bit, then the little guy will calm down as well.
